God’s Love for You
God loves you deeply and unconditionally. The Bible says in John 3:16, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” However, we have all fallen short of God’s perfect standard. Romans 3:23 tells us, “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” The consequence of sin is separation from God (Romans 6:23a: “For the wages of sin is death…”).
Jesus – God’s Solution
Jesus Paid the Price
God, in His love, provided a way for us to be reconciled to Him through His Son, Jesus Christ. Jesus lived a sinless life and willingly died on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins (1 Peter 2:24: “He himself bore our sins in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sin and live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed.”). His resurrection from the dead is proof of His victory over sin and death (1 Corinthians 15:3-4: “For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures…”).

How to Accept Jesus
Take the Step of Faith.
Accepting Jesus into your life is a step of faith that changes everything. Here’s how you can do it:
Acknowledge:
Recognize that you are a sinner and need God’s forgiveness. Turn away from your sin (repentance).
Believe:
Believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, that He died for your sins, and that God raised Him from the dead.
Confess:
Openly declare your belief in Jesus as your Lord and Savior. Romans 10:9-10 says, “If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.”
Invite:
Invite Jesus Christ to come into your heart and life to be your personal Lord and Savior. Revelation 3:20 says, “Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me”
(Optional: You might pray something like: “Dear God, I know I am a sinner and need your forgiveness. I believe that Jesus Christ is your Son and that He died and rose again for me. I turn away from my sin and ask you to come into my heart and life as my Lord and Savior. Thank you for your love and forgiveness. Amen.”)
What Happens Next?
Your New Life Begins Now
When you accept Jesus, you receive forgiveness for your sins and the gift of eternal life (John 5:24: “Very truly I tell you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life.”). As you begin your new life in Christ, we encourage you to:
Tell someone about your decision – a trusted friend, family member, or someone at Holy Trinity. * **Read the Bible regularly**, starting with the Gospel of John to learn more about Jesus.
Pray and talk to God regularly. He wants to have a relationship with you.
Find a Bible-believing church where you can grow in your faith and connect with other believers (we’d love for that to be Holy Trinity International Ministries in Camden!).
Be baptized as a public declaration of your new faith in Jesus.

What is Water Baptism?
A Public Declaration
Water baptism is a powerful and meaningful act for believers in Jesus Christ. It’s a public declaration of your new life in Him. Just as Christ died and was buried and rose again, baptism symbolizes your identification with His death, burial, and resurrection. As Romans 6:3-4 says, “Or don’t you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.” It’s an outward sign of the inward change that has taken place in your heart when you accepted Jesus.
Why Should I Be Baptized?
Following Jesus’ Example
There are several important reasons why believers choose to be baptized. Firstly, Jesus Himself was baptized by John in the Jordan River (Matthew 3:13-17), setting an example for us to follow. Secondly, Jesus commanded His followers to baptize new disciples. In Matthew 28:19, He said, “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” It’s an act of obedience to His command and a way to publicly identify with the Christian community and the body of Christ.

Our Baptism Service
At Holy Trinity International Ministries, our baptism service is a joyous occasion. Typically, those being baptized will share a brief testimony of their faith journey. Then, they will be fully immersed in water, symbolizing their death to their old life and their rising to a new life in Christ. Our pastors will offer words of blessing and encouragement. We aim to make it a meaningful and comfortable experience for everyone involved. If you feel nervous, please know that our team will support you every step of the way.
